MEET THE TEAM

Having successfully completed his Deck Officer Cadetship at Warsash Maritime Academy and subsequently a BSc (Hons) Nautical Science Degree from Liverpool John Moore’s University, James served as Deck Officer on board a variety of different types of vessels, ranging from ferries and superyachts to cargo vessels.

Joining the GMA’s Survey Division in 2019, his current role as a Marine Surveyor sees him undertake Port State Control Inspections in Gibraltar under the Paris MOU, local surveys and ISM/ISPS audits and MLC inspections on Gibraltar registered vessels. James also carries out DOC audits on an annual basis at his client’s premises, allowing him the opportunity to further build on the existing good rapport he enjoys with his clients.
